The BigGive
Last week was Learning Disability Week, a week when the focus is on our community!
Lockdown was made generally more bearable by having access to a computer. Many of our families didn’t even have one. We want our children to be able to catch up and do justice to home learning.
Until 22 June at 12pm all online donations via The Big Give are being matched £ for £ by charity, The Childhood Trust. Any donations will make a difference. If you can, please help a young person’s learning. Give here www.rb.gy/xfchtg . #ChildhoodTrust #BigGive

2020 Holiday Clubs
Organised by Brent Knoll & Watergate Co-operative Trust
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. Despite this we held a holiday club in the February half term and over for 2 weeks at Watergate Site and for two lots of 2 weeks at Brent Knoll throughout the summer holidays. These weeks were oases for the children and families concerned.
We would like to acknowledge with gratitude this year’s funders: Phoenix Community Chest, the True Colours Trust, Co-op Members and the Mothers’ Union.

A hand-crafted den
We want to offer holiday clubs for all holidays apart from Christmas – but this is only possible with wider support
Activities included preparing home-cooked lunches (at Brent Knoll)
- party-time
- sensory activities,
- sports and arts and crafts.
- Danceathons
We had trike races and made excellent use of the playgrounds.
My child was so happy when he came home
Spending time with other children in a safe environment and having the space to play made all the difference.
