COVID19 has been a nightmare for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families, many of whom suffered badly from anxiety even prior to lockdown. Throughout this difficult period, we have worked tirelessly reassuring parents and working with FareShare and London Funders to ensure children and families, even those without recourse to public funds, don’t go hungry.
We have been able to provide a safe and expert led holiday club, including cookery sessions, drama and sport, performance, art and crafts, music and very messy play only thanks to the kindness of the wider community including residents of Phoenix Housing, the Mothers Union and funders including the True Colours Trust So, if you have money, energy, expertise or connections to share, please reach out. Lives can blossom when specialist help like holiday clubs; counselling; music therapy is delivered
As an exempt charity, donations qualify for gift aid – so if you can, please help some of Lewisham’s most disadvantaged children to grow and enjoy life, allowing siblings, families and carers time for themselves.
